Letter from the Creator, Limited time and a busy college schedule does not allow for as much dedication as I would like to be able to afford this site, but I will attempt to make necessary updates as time permits. As anyone who has viewed this site before can attest, it has been just over two years since the last update. Hopefully that will not happen again. When I visited the statistics on this page recently I realized the demand for such a page. QwikCat is receiving nearly 3,000 hits a month. I was surprised at the interest and ashamed that I have let the site sit idle for such a long time. When I set out to create this site some years back, my vision was to create a site with the greatest collection of Cougar knowledge and media. Naive, obviously. There is way more out there than I have the ability to post to one site. I have a large collection of pictures of Cougars on my computer which I have collected mostly from the Internet. My new, and hopefully more reasonable objective, is to create an interesting media based site for Cougar enthusiasts. I will still provide the necessary sources for the information which I am not able to provide on this site, though; just check the links. Currently, I only have pictures of mostly '69 Cougars (my own model Cougar, selfish, I know), but am interested in including much more. As I have mentioned, my busy class and work schedule limits the devotion I can have towards this site. You can help me out by sending me your favorite pictures of Cougars and I will post them as time permits. I also have included a Visitor's Photos page, so that you can send photos of your own Cougar and I will post them on the site. Visitor's photos will have priority and will go up within the week. This part of the site I would like to become the most popular. See the Visitor's Photos page for instructions to get your Cougar posted on QwikCat. An example of how I plan to post each Visitor's Cougar can be seen in the way I posted my own, check it out here. I will also be posting videos to this site that I have found around the Internet. Same goes for videos as pictures: if ya got 'em, send 'em. A long time ago, I also created some wallpapers for desktops. I have posted some of them. Some I have deleted from my computer completely. I don't know what I was thinking, but some were terribly ugly. If I have any time to kill, I may create more. If you have any you would like to share, I can post them. You will receive full credit for your submissions, as with any submissions to this site. I have created a message board for Cougar fans to communicate with each other. It hasn't fared too well in the past, but I'll take blame for that. I would like to see people sharing their thoughts through the message board, thoughts about Cougars, this site, automobiles in general, whatever. Included in the message board is a Classifieds section to buy or sell Cougars or parts. Ebay may work also, but here you're guaranteed to find somebody who has interest in Cougars. I will try to find a new host for the message board as time (and cost) permits, but the current one is fully functional. I'm just not too crazy about it, not sure why, really. To make this site reach its potential, I need help from the visitors. Limited time and very limited funds prevent me from making this site what I would truly like it to become, but for now, I think a Cougar site dedicated to providing the greatest quality of media has some promise. With submissions from visitors, I can make this site better a lot easier than going it alone. Also, I intend to get a domain for this site eventually, I just don't have the cash to do so right now. I've looked around and haven't been able to find a suitable web host that provides the services I need for a price I can afford. I need at least 100mb of storage with at least 2.0 Gb of bandwidth or less storage with a place that can host a lot of photos. If you know of a way to get this done, please contact me. If you read all of this, I'm sorry. Its not really fun Cougar stuff, but I felt I needed to let people know what's going on with this site. I look forward to visitor participation and the increased satisfaction this site can bring. Your fellow Cougar owner, Hugh
